Sheffield Baptist Church COVID-19 UPDATE
We continue to pray daily for all Nova Scotians and everyone across Canada and around the World touched by this illness and SBC remains committed to the public proclamation of the Gospel.
Effective March 21st, The Nova Scotia Dept. of Health And Wellness announced all COVID precautions- Social Distancing, Masking, Proof of Vaccination, etc have expired. SBC observed all COVID regulations and Best Practices to keep us open as much as possible during these unprecedented times and we continue to be committed to the health and safety of you and your family. Over the next few weeks we'll start to see things move toward some type of a "new" normal. And while many of us can't wait to go maskless, travel unfettered, gather in groups and not have a daily diet of COVID news, on top of everything else going on in the world, we also understand many continue to be anxious, concerned for their health and continue to morn the loss of loved ones. A recent poll of Nova Scotians show 34% of us are still uneasy and may wish to continue to wear a mask and keep their distance. SBC will welcome both, in love, and may we always remind ourselves that kindness and compassion is at the very center of the Gospel message and must be a hallmark of every Christian's life. The days and weeks ahead are bound to be stressful as we work out what is and is not. So please in the name of God be kind! We will continue to record attendance and offer hand sanitizing when you're at SBC. Join us this week and be blessed.
You may continue to use our Eventbrite page to register for Sunday Worship and Wednesday Prayer Meetings so contact tracing can be arranged. Join us this week and be blessed. Our worship services will continue to be streamed online, via our Facebook and Youtube channels, so please stay connected for more information.
SBC will continue to reach out through our online platforms and Deacon's Care Ministry. NSHealth continues to provide important information to protect yourself and your family. Please visit their website at www.novascotia.ca/coronavirus for the latest on this ever evolving public health crisis.
Our Interim Pastor Rev. Dr. Shant Manuel is in the Church Office on Tuesday mornings so please feel free to contact him with your prayer or visitation needs and your Deacons and Trustees continue to monitor the evolution of the provincial state of emergency.
For over 170 years Sheffield Baptist Church, and it's forebearers, have rested confidently in the power and protection of our Lord and we remain committed to the work of the Gospel during these difficult days. We acknowledge there are many divergent opinions regarding the pandemic and frustration with the government and church's response to it. The leadership of this local body of believers will always seek the Lord's will and act with an abundance of caution, based on the best official information available and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
And most importantly continue to trust in God, Pray, Spend time in His Word. Be calm, Stay Safe and show and share God's love and hope during these difficult times.
