Sheffield Baptist Church COVID-19 UPDATE

We continue to pray daily for all Nova Scotians and everyone across Canada and around the World touched by this illness. Nova Scotians have done a great job "flattening the curve" but unfortunately outbreaks of the Novel Cornavirus, and the new variant strains, caused NS Public Health to enact shutdown orders across the HRM, including faith gatherings. With the situation stabilized Nova Scotia Health has  developed a phased opening plan. Re-opening of Faith Gatherings however won't be seen until Phase 3, scheduled for July 2021; provided infection rates and vaccination levels are on target. SBC will continue to reach out through our online platforms, Deacon's Care Ministry and Pastor personal contacts.  NSHealth continues to provide important information to protect yourself and your family. Please visit their website at for the latest on this evolving public health crisis.

For over 170 years Sheffield Baptist Church, and it's forebearers, have rested confidently in the power and protection of our Lord and we remain committed to the work of the Gospel during these difficult days. We acknowledge there are many divergent opinions regarding the pandemic and frustration with the church's response to it. The leadership of this local body of believers will always seek the Lord's will and act with an abundance of caution, based on the best official information available.

The new gathering limits make our worship and prayer meetings impossible. Our worship services are moving to online format only, via our Facebook and Youtube channels. Our Wednesday Prayer Meeting is suspended until such time as permitted.

Please stay connected for more information. The Church Office is open daily and your Pastor, Deacons and Trustees continue to monitor the evolution of the provincial state of emergency.

Please continue to watch our website and Facebook page for Livestream services and devotionals. And most importantly continue to trust in God, Pray, Spend time in His Word. Be calm, Stay Safe and show and share God's love and hope during these difficult times.
