Sheffield Baptist Church COVID-19 UPDATE

We continue to pray daily for all Nova Scotians and everyone across Canada and around the World touched by this illness. Nova Scotians have done a great job fighting this virus but unfortunately outbreaks of new variant strains, caused NS Public Health to modify the "Phase 5" reopening plan. Full masking and deep cleaning remains in effect for all indoor activities. Social distance seating has been relaxed but we will still be recording attendance for possible contact tracing and Proof of Vaccination (POV) will be required for everyone 12yrs or older, for all activites or events, other that regular Sunday Worship. SBC will continue to reach out through our online platforms and Deacon's Care Ministry.  NSHealth continues to provide important information to protect yourself and your family. Please visit their website at for the latest on this ever evolving public health crisis.

For over 170 years Sheffield Baptist Church, and it's forebearers, have rested confidently in the power and protection of our Lord and we remain committed to the work of the Gospel during these difficult days. We acknowledge there are many divergent opinions regarding the pandemic and frustration with the government's and church's response to it. The leadership of this local body of believers will always seek the Lord's will and act with an abundance of caution, based on the best official information available and have prepared this phased return to in-person worship. Please remember all these dates are tentative; based on provincial health orders and best practices. And we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The Church Office is currently closed and Deacons and Trustees continue to monitor the evolution of the provincial state of emergency. And most importantly continue to trust in God, Pray, Spend time in His Word. Be calm, Stay Safe and show and share God's love and hope during these difficult times.

We wish Pastor Matt & family every blessing as they begin their new ministry at Calvary Baptist in Miramichi, NB. We will miss them greatly and welcome Rev. Dr Shant & Ginny Manuel to SBC as our supply pastor.
