I had visited and traveled Canada 20 yrs ago and it has always held a place in my heart. Life has many twists and turns. Heeding God's call I served in a Japanese evangelical church in Tochigi prefecture, Japan for 4 years. I am a graduate Bible institute and 4 years Bible seminary. During those days, God called me to seek His way to serve Him in Canada. Finally my wife, son and I came to follow God's direction to come to our promised land in the summer of 2021.
Since arriving in Halifax we have embraced and been embraced into this great community and have been honoured to join SBC first as a Deacon and now it's Outreach Coordinator.
Mrs. Esther Turner
I grew up in a local church as the eldest daughter of a pastor, and taught my first Sunday School class at 15. I've been serving in the church in various positions since that time. As a wife and mother, I whole-heartedly believe in the importance of Sunday School in the spiritual growth of all people regardless of age.
Psalm 27:13 I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
